The Exertion Kickdrum

Susanne models the Exertion Kick Drum.  Depressing the pedal slides the gear rack spins a generator, producing enough electrical power for a single percussion sound. Internal electronics synthesize and amplify the drum sound until the electrical power dissipates, similar to an all-acoustic kick drum.  Atop of the instrument, a bank of controller knobs allows the player to customize the sound, choosing between 11 different kickdrum algorithms, including the ability to alter parameters like pitch, decay, etc., similar to electronic kick drums.

The Electric Eel (Cardinal edition)

The Electric Eel is an instrument based on the medieval serpent. In place of the serpent's

reed, a tiny computer drives a speaker using energy from the player's arm movement,

restoring corporeality to electronic music.
